It is Bonefish & Tarpon Trust’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Bonefish & Tarpon Trust’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Bonefish & Tarpon Trust’s visitors use its website. From time to time, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Bonefish & Tarpon Trust also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Bonefish & Tarpon Trust does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.

Certain visitors to Bonefish & Tarpon Trust’s websites choose to interact with Bonefish & Tarpon Trust in ways that require Bonefish & Tarpon Trust to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Bonefish & Tarpon Trust gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. Those who engage in transactions with Bonefish & Tarpon Trust are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal information required to process those transactions. In each case, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Bonefish & Tarpon Trust. Bonefish & Tarpon Trust does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Children's Privacy

We recognize the need to provide further privacy protections with respect to personal information we may collect from children under 13 on our Website. If we have actual knowledge that a user is under 13 years old, the child will be asked to provide his or her parent’s or guardian’s email address.

We will not knowingly collect personal information from children without taking the following additional steps to protect children’s privacy:

  • Notifying parents about our information practices with regard to children, including the types of personal information we may collect from children, the uses to which we may put that information, and whether and with whom we may share that information.
  • In accordance with applicable law, obtaining consent from parents for the collection of personal information from their children, or for sending information directly to their children.
  • Limiting our collection of personal information from children to no more than is reasonably necessary to participate in an online activity such as blog posts.
  • Giving parents the ability to request access to personal information we have collected from their children and the ability to request that the personal information be changed or deleted.

Parental Access

Parents/guardians of children under the age of 13 can request a parental consent form that allows them to review any personally identifiable information collected about their child, have this information deleted, and/or request that there be no further collection or use of their child’s personally identifiable information. You can contact Pat Bowman, Director of Operations at 786-618-9479 to request a parental consent form. We will take steps to verify the identity of anyone requesting personally identifiable information about a child and to ensure that the person is, in fact, the child’s parent or legal guardian.
