BTT kicked off the Charlotte Harbor leg of the 2018 Tarpon Acoustic Tagging Project last month with a 91-pound fish caught near Little Gasparilla Island. This tarpon was caught by a husband and wife team from Pennsylvania on Capt. Chuck Jenks’ boat. After a short fight, the tarpon (believed to be male) was released in great condition. Special thanks so Capt. Edward Glorioso for transporting our tagging team and Capt. Chris Fanelli for assisting. Photo: Capt. Edward Glorioso
BTT’s tagging team will be in town on Saturday, June 16th. If you will be tarpon fishing in the area that day, please contact JoEllen Wilson.
