Will Johnson is a lifelong conservationist and sportsman whose career has been defined by a singular conviction: that protecting wild places is both a moral obligation and a lasting legacy. A 2005 graduate of the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business, where he earned dual degrees in Finance and Marketing, Johnson spent nearly two decades with Ducks Unlimited in roles of increasing responsibility across the Southeast—ultimately serving as Managing Director of Development for a five-state region spanning Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia. In that capacity, he led high-performing teams, managed multi-million-dollar conservation funding portfolios, and cultivated deep relationships with the landowners, outdoorsmen and women, and mission-driven supporters who sustain the conservation community.
A Ducks Unlimited Diamond Life Sponsor, a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, and an Emeritus Member of the Board of Advisors for the F3 Foundation, Johnson brings to BTT not only professional expertise and a history of service but also a genuine, lifelong passion for habitats that define life along the coast. He and his wife, Laurel, spent the last 12 years in Bluffton, South Carolina, raising their three daughters amid a Lowcountry backdrop and culture they have grown to love and appreciate. In his spare time, Will enjoys chasing redfish in the Fripp Island marshes, supporting his daughters’ athletic pursuits, and running.
