BTT is pleased to announce that the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal Photo Contest is open for submissions! Send us your very best images from the flats. We’re looking for unique and stunning photos that feature habitat and fish (bonefish, tarpon, or permit). Anglers and boats can also be present, but are not required to be.
To enter: Please submit all contest photos before December 16, 2019 to Nick Roberts (nick@bonefishtarpontrust.org), editor of the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal, with the subject line “BTT Photo Contest.” Photos submitted should be no larger than 15 MB in JPEG format. Please provide your full name, address, and phone number with the entry, as well as a short description of the image(s). Each participant may submit up to three photos for the contest. If your photo is selected, we will follow up for the highest resolution photo you can provide.
First Place: The winning photo will be featured on BTT social media and in an issue of the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal. The winning photographer will receive a TFO Mangrove Series 8-weight fly rod and a BTT Prize Pack.
Second Place: The runner-up photo will be featured on BTT’s social media and may be published in a future issue of the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal. The photographer will receive a dozen Orvis saltwater flies and a BTT Prize Pack.
Third Place: The photo will be featured on BTT’s social media accounts and may be published in a future issue of the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal. The photographer will receive a BTT Prize Pack.
The winner will be announced by February 1, 2020.
Eligibility: You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to enter the contest. BTT board members, employees, interns, and partners of Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, as well as their immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children), are not eligible to enter.
Entry Period: The Bonefish & Tarpon Journal Photo Contest begins at 12:00 pm EST on October 30, 2019 and ends at 11:59 pm EST on December 16, 2019. Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.
Judging: Photos will be judged on originality, artistic and technical excellence, composition, impact and subject matter relevant to the contest. Judging will be conducted by a panel of the Bonefish & Tarpon Journal editorial staff and board.
