Bonefish & Tarpon Trust UK representative Paul Sharman was at the recent Sportfish Spring show in Reading near London flying the flag for BTT and handing out journals and membership details in his quest to boost UK and European membership of BTT.
“I was surprised by just how few UK fly fishers know the BTT even exists, especially those destination anglers who have travelled to the flats in the Bahamas, Cuba and other tropical locations. Hopefully I can continue to spread the word and we will eventually see our UK destination angling firms and retailers come on board and help support and encourage their clients to join also. In the long term I would love to have UK and other European chapters of BTT that have enough local members to hold get-togethers and so we can promote and host travelling angler trips that benefit BTT and it’s research goals.”
