11th Annual Florida Keys Dinner & Circle of Honor Inductions

Join Bonefish & Tarpon Trust at the 11th Annual Florida Keys Dinner & Circle of Honor Inductions at 6 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, FL. 

This year’s event takes on special meaning as we honor Captain Rick Ruoff and, posthumously, Captains Joe Gonzalez and Travis Holeman, for their commitment to the flats fishery and their support of BTT’s research and conservation efforts over the years. Each will be inducted into BTT’s Circle of Honor in program led by Master of Ceremonies T. Edward Nickens, outdoor author and Contributing Editor for Garden & Gun. Enjoy cocktails, dinner, a silent auction, and celebrate the work and lives of Rick, Joe and Travis. All proceeds benefit the BTT George Hommell Florida Keys Habitat Fund, which supports local conservation efforts.

The BTT Circle of Honor recognizes legendary anglers, fishing guides, and conservation leaders who have made significant contributions to the conservation of the flats fishery. Housed in the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center in Islamorada, Florida, the BTT Circle of Honor features an annually rotating exhibit of those honored as well as educational content about the significance of the flats fishery. Past recipients of BTT’s Lefty Kreh Award, Curt Gowdy Memorial Media Award, and Flats Stewardship Award are recognized in a digital archive maintained as part of the exhibit.
