Support Mangrove Restoration in the Bahamas

Support BTT’s Mangrove Restoration Project, which will plant 65,000 more trees within the next two years, for a total of 100,000 planted by 2025. Hurricane Dorian devastated Abaco and Grand Bahama in 2019, creating a humanitarian crisis and destroying critical mangrove habitats that provide essential ecosystem services and support the Bahamian economy through bonefishing, generating $169 million annually.

Join us to restore these invaluable habitats and protect the livelihoods of coastal communities. BTT is collaborating with our partners Bahamas National Trust, Friends of the Environment, MANG, Waterkeepers Bahamas, the Perry Institute for Marine Sciences, and others to ensure the long-term well-being of mangroves across the country. Be part of our efforts in raising awareness and educating future generations, as seen in the photos below, about the importance of mangroves and their role in sustaining the Bahamian economy.
