Tarpon Research Framework
How to use the Framework
- The diagram shows the general pattern of the species’ life history.
- Each numbered life stage on the diagram corresponds to a spreadsheet (linked below) containing a summary of the State of Knowledge and Research Priorities for that life stage.
- The spreadsheets present color-coded Status of Knowledge and number-coded Research Priority Level for each life stage.
- The Status of Knowledge color codes were determined by literature review and scientific peer review.
- The Research Priority Levels are based upon recurring discussion and review of advances in research and emerging threats to bonefish, tarpon, and permit populations.
